My school is a Kindergarten to 12th grade school. As part of our History classes my students have been learning about WW2 and the impacts on Europe and the US. They are now learning about how WW2 was won and as part of their investigations and research we are learning about how Europe celebrated Nazi Germany’ surrender. To bring the learning to life, my students will be organising a British themed VE celebration where we will have set out long tables, have tea and cakes, listen to speeches from Winston Churchill and play music from that time. As we are a school, this will be a private event and therefore will not be open to the public.
