On the 8th of May at 10:45am you are welcome to come and join us as we gather at the War Memorial at All Saints Church Longstanton to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the ending of the Second World War.
On arrival you will notice 80 Red Crosses will have been placed, one at each of the military headstones, as well as others at the War Memorial representing those who left our village all those years ago to fight for the 80 years of freedom and peace we enjoy today.
As time goes by it becomes easier for us to forget that over 80 years ago so many of our young men and women gave their lives so that we would enjoy the peace and freedom we all take for granted today.
We hope you will join us on the 8th of May at 10:45am to remember them.
