Local residents are invited to gather around the Baldock War Memorial at midday, to observe the national 2-minute silence marking 80 years since VJ (Victory over Japan) Day — 15/08/1945 – 15/08/2025. The silence will begin at 12 noon, so please aim to arrive a few minutes beforehand.
Location: Baldock War Memorial (at the North end of the High Street opposite Days Bakery)
Time: The 2-minute silence will begin at 12 noon, so arrive just before.
