At 9am, commemorative flags will be raised in the High Street and in Jubilee Gardens. Later in the day at 2.30pm there will be a memorial service at the High Street War Memorial, followed by tea and cakes at the Senior Citizens Club. Then in the evening at 6pm, the bells of St Peter’s, Kinver will ring out to join other Churches across the Country. We will then be meeting at the War Memorial on Kinver Edge at 7:30 pm. We will be walking up to the toposcope (the NT Warden has kindly offered to provide 2 4×4 cars to take anyone that cannot walk to the top) to hear a reading of the proclamation by Peter Williams at 9pm and the Beacon will be lit at 9:30pm, along with hundreds of other beacons across the country.
The sounding of the Last Post by our bugler will provide a fitting end to the day…..WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. 🇬🇧
