Presented on behalf of Droxford and District Branch of the Royal British Legion, this free, on-day event will commemorate VJ80 and tell the story of the war in the Far East viewed through the personal histories and stories of people, service and civilian who were there. They called themselves ‘The Forgotten Army’, we aim to do something to put that right.
A mixture of displays, video recordings and artefacts will shed light on the impact of the war on people and a little of how it continued to affect them after victory.
