This event will be a street party to celebrate peace in Europe just as communities did in 1945 when fascism was defeated in Europe. The day will feature entertainment, military vehicles and artefacts including a Spitfire (which was designed in built in the Southampton area), music performances, a 1940s fancy dress competition, dance, street theatre, food and drink, and an array of markets for all the family.
