St Boniface church will be participating in national events to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
On Wednesday 7 May at 6:00pm the official “VE Day 80” flag will be flown from the tower roof by our bellringers and members of Bunbury Scouts.
Then on VE Day, Thursday 8 May, the church bells will ring out at 6:30pm, along with those in many towers across the country, in celebration of peace. Before the ringing, Rev Tim Hayward will lead a short outdoor service at the church memorial gates starting at 6:00 pm. All in the village are welcome to join members of the local Royal British Legion around the gates for the service, and then listen to the bells.
