Opposite the George & Dragon Inn, local dignitaries and the Royal British Legion convene to raise the VE Day flag, from 8.50am. Residents and friends view the ceremony from The Bash, the area in front of the George & Dragon. The Village Crier will convey the good news. Afterwards, everyone walks to the Potterne Social Club for breakfast.
