I found this Certificate whilst clearing my Mother’s property after she passed away.
The Certificate is a thank you from The People of Norway for the services of my father, Gunner Herbert Wharton, for his valuable services in helping to restore freedom to Norway.
It is signed by King Olav. Oslo December 1945.
It is now framed, and has pride of place on my dining room wall.
