Plymouth will be hosting the VEDAY 80 Event on the iconic Plymouth Hoe. Starting with a flag raising at 10:30am and service with the Royal Navy and Parade of Standards, the day will then be a celebration with two big screens showing archive material and music of the time. There will be vintage vehicles on show, some stalls and tours by the Commonwealth Wargraves Commission. People are encouraged to come with picnics, there will be some catering on site, and soak up the atmosphere. In the evening there will be Big Band Music finishing with a Ceremonial Sunset and Beacon lighting ceremony. The Event is supported by Babcock.
