At midday on 8th May, St. Mary’s Church, Wotton under Edge, will be hosting the Town Crier. He will read the official proclamation. Following this, you can have a fish and chip lunch inside the church. There will be an exhibition of local photos from VE Day along with a story line of the day 80 years ago.
At 5.45pm there will be a service of Peace, bringing together the community along with children from the 3 local Wotton schools. At 6.30pm the bells will chime.
