Working in partnership with the Royal British Legion, Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall would like to invite you to attend a day of events to celebrate VE Day with a Victory Ball event. there will be a number of activities happening throughout the day starting as follows:
12pm – Cinema film ‘Dunkirk’
2pm – Cinema film ‘Valiant’ (for children)
3:30pm – 6pm Celebration Arts and Crafts in the Auditorium, for decoration at the hall or to take home yourselves
4:40pm – The Great Victory Bake Off in the Auditorium, judging of the competition to find the best wartime recipe cake and also the best decorated victory themed cake
5:30pm – Knit for Victory in the Auditorium to find the best 1940’s or victory themed knitted item
6:15pm – 1940’s Costume Competition in the Auditorium, entrance and judging for the competition for the best wartime or 1940’s inspired outfit
7:30 – 9pm – Pashy Pops performance in the Auditorium, a performance of wartime favourites from the superb singing duo (Ticketed Event)
9 – 11pm – Swingin’ Bill’s Vintage Revue in the Auditorium, jumping Jive; Swing; Jazz and Showtunes performed by the energetic and entertaining act from Cardiff (Ticketed Event)
