Drop in and view a display of original documents which show what Government departments and military personnel would do when peace was declared. Local councils were advised there would be no objections to the lighting of bonfires; speeches would be made in Parliament and the King would broadcast to the nation. Military units in northwest Europe were advised that units could arrange locally, church services, meals, games and entertainments.
