Norwood Park Commemorates VE Day with Charity Event for the British Red Cross
Norwood Park is set to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a special charity event, honouring its wartime history and raising funds for the British Red Cross. Once a convalescent home for wounded servicemen, the historic estate played a vital role during WWII under the British Red Cross Society’s care.
Sir John Starkey Bt warmly invites local octogenarians, along with their spouses, partners, carers, family, and friends, to a special Tea Party at Norwood Hall on 8th May 2025. Guests will enjoy an afternoon tea-style buffet while exploring a fascinating display of wartime memorabilia and historic photographs, alongside songs performed by the Carlton Male Voice Choir.
Norwood Park welcomes local residents and historical societies to contribute to the event by showcasing memorabilia. Those interested can get in touch with the team at Norwood Park directly. Guests can arrive from 2:00PM, with the event running through to 6:00PM.
Tickets are available at norwoodpark.co.uk/whatson or by contacting the Norwood Park office on events@norwoodpark.co.uk or 01636 302099. Tickets are priced at £15 for Adults and £5 for children, with all proceeds going to the British Red Cross.
