On the afternoon of Sunday 4th May from 2-4pm, let the vintage tone of the tenor saxophone take you back to the 40s to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE day at the Chequers Inn, Hoo. Featuring classic wartime favourites from Glenn Miller and Vera Lynn including ‘Moonlight Serenade’, ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’, ‘(There’ll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs Of Dover’ and ‘We’ll Meet Again’, alongside popular hits from the lively 50s and 60s post-war music scene of jazz, swing and rock n’ roll to celebrate the occasion!
