We are pleased to host a VE Day Tea Party and Plaque Unveiling at Donnington War Memorial on Thursday 8th May 2025, 2pm-3pm.
Thanks to funding from Cllrs Doran and Vickers via the Councillors Pride Fund and match funded by the VE Day Grants, we’re putting together a gathering for a short VE Day Tea Party at the war memorial. We’ll also be unveiling two commemorative plaques which will be situated on two of the memorial gates.
The funding has also extended to providing VE Day bunting for Donnington Parade and Turreff Hall/Donnington Library. The flower planters on the Parade will also be planted up with the union jack colours.
