Dorchester’s Beacon Lighting event on 8th May will start at 8.15pm, there will be 1940s music from the Decadettes and performances recounting local memories of VE Day in Dorchester. Then at 9.30pm the Town Crier will lead the crowd in reading the VE Day Tribute followed by the Last Post and the lighting of the town Beacon.
