This letter was from our Grandma Winifred Hunt to my Dad dated 7th May 1945. Dad lost both his brothers in the 2nd world war and was sent to Rhodesia for the duration. We found the letter (s) during the Covid lockdown in May 2020 whilst clearing out our garage. There are many other letters which we still have to read but this one marks VE Day 1945 with a note at the bottom of the letter saying “The radio has just announced the war in Europe is over”.
