The letters were discovered among my mums belongings after her passing. My dad was in the Royal Navy and was stationed in Lyness Orkney throughout the Second World War. The letters were written to him from my mum the first written on the day before VE Day 7 May 1945, the second on VE Day which gives descriptions of Glasgow at the time and the third written the next day 9 May.
