On behalf of the Llanelli Branch of the Royal British Legion and St Elli Parish Church, we would be honoured to invite you to attend a Service of Commemoration to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan (VJ Day).
The service will take place on Friday, 15th August 2025 at 7:00 pm at St Elli Church (Eglwys y Plwyf), Llanelli.
To mark the occasion, the church bells will ring out from 6:30 pm, in remembrance and reflection.
This important milestone gives us the opportunity to come together as a community to remember those who served in the Far East, to honour their courage and sacrifice, and to ensure their legacy lives on.
We very much hope you will be able to join us for this special evening of remembrance and commemoration. Your attendance will greatly enhance the significance of the evening, and we hope you will be able to join us in marking this important occasion.
