VJ day Ceremony by the National Service (RAF) Association
Join us by the Hercules aircraft for a short ceremony including a colour parade by the National Service (RAF) Association. Commences at 11am.
National 2 Minute Silence
Join the country in a moment of reflection with a 2 minutes silence at 12 noon.
Free VJ Day Talks
Join us in front of our WWII aircraft as we deliver a special VJ day talk commemorating the efforts of those that served. Talks at 11.30am and 2pm in front of the Hurricane in H2.
Free Documentary Screening
Watch a compelling VJ Day documentary, featuring rare archival footage and personal accounts that bring this pivotal moment to life. Located in our lecture theatre. You can come and go as you please.
1940s Music
Join us in our summer village as we send our soundtrack back in time to the 1940s!
Bunting Workshop
Located in the craft tent of our summer village, help us create our own union jack bunting by colouring in a flag, drawing a picture or leaving a message of good will.
