My mother kept a bundle of all the letters and postcards she sent to my father that he brought back to England in late 1944.
My parents had been recently married and my father was commissioned to RAMC in July 1942 before going to join the 72nd Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment in North Africa and Bari in Italy.
