This letter was written to me by my father when I was 3 months old. At this stage he had not met me. The letter has been kept in my Baby’s Record Album and my parents gave me the album many years ago. My father first met me in April 1945, I was born on 18th November 1944. I have the telegram of 20th April saying that he hoped to arrive home on 21st (April) and another on 21st saying arrive London 13.30. I was then baptised on 23rd April. I also have the letter my father wrote in the event of his death prior to D-day.
