Admiral Ramsay Museum VE80 Commemoration

Admiral Ramsay Museum commemorates the architect of the Dunkirk evacuation and the Naval commander of the D-Day landings, along with all who served under him.

As well as the museum being open, our VE80 commemorative afternoon will include a 2 minute silence, piping of a lament then reveille and a beating to quarters by Coldstream Pipe Band, speeches by Admiral Ramsay’s grandson, a reading of a love letter sent on VE Day to her husband on active service, the reports of the day by the battalions of the Kings Own Scottish Borderers in Germany, plus cream teas.
