We have the proclamation at 9am followed by tea and cupcakes in the Tourist Information. A Scottish Piper will follow the 12 noon silence in the Town Centre, and there will be various tea party’s happening in the town, one at local historical house Castle Bank, and one being held in the Methodist Church on the Sands. Most of the shops have decorated their windows in red white and blue to commemorate the day.
At 9.30pm the day will conclude with the lighting of the Beacon on Fair Hill, Roman Road.
