The Battle of Britain Bunker in Uxbridge was the HQ of 11 Group Operations throughout the Second World War. At our visitor centre we will be hosting a weekend (3-5th May) of special VE Day tours into the Bunker, talks and 1940s family activities with climbing wall. On the Bank Holiday Monday we will have a street party with BBQ food and refreshments, music and bands throughout the day culminating with a traditional tea dance in the afternoon. We will have also have classic cars, family activities and a reminiscence roadshow where people can share their memories with our archives team. We are encouraging 1940s attire with prizes available for the best dressed!
