Binfield Parish Council would like to commemorate and honour 80 years since VE (Victory in Europe) Day, when the Second World War came to an end in Europe.
Thursday 8th May 2025 6.30-10.00pm at the Parish Office on Foxley Fields.
6.45pm RBL, RNA and Binfield Unit groups to open the event and join us in a parade around Foxley Fields.
7.00-9.15pm Musical entertainment from the 1940’s Polka Dots and Binfield Community Choir.
Bring along your picnic blankets and chairs. Refreshments available from the Foxes’ Den and traditional garden games to play in the lead up to the Beacon Lighting.
9.15pm Civic Ceremony with the lighting of the Beacon at 9.30pm with the patriotic hymn ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’
There will be a RBL stand with commemorative items and VE 80 pins.
