Clifton VE80 Weekend

Clifton Special Events Committee convene at times of historic significance to organise free to attend events for the residents of Clifton, Bedfordshire and their families.

Date: Thursday 8th May 2025
Event: Clifton VE80 Commemorative Beacon Lighting
Time: 7:30pm to 11pm
Place: Grange Street
Synopsis: Food and drink available from The Admiral, live entertainment, local RBL representatives, WWII information exhibition, Military Wives Choir, Beacon Lighting by RAF Henlow at 9:30pm.

Date: Friday 9th May 2025
Event: Clifton VE80 StrEat Party
Time: 4pm to 8pm
Place: Clifton Playing Field
Synopsis: Sweet and Savoury Food Trucks, Bar, Red, White and Blue or 1940s optional dress code, Cockney Sing-a-Long with Mr. Tom Carradine.

Date: Saturday 10th May 2025
Event: Clifton VE80 Family Fun Day
Time: 2pm to 6pm
Place: Clifton Community Centre and Playing Field
Synopsis: Classic family fun day with rides, games, demonstrations, exhibitions and competitions and much more!

Date: Sunday 11th May 2025
Event: Clifton VE80 Service of Commemoration, followed by refreshments and activities in the Church Yard
Time: 2:45pm to 5pm
Place: Clifton War Memorial, then Clifton All Saints Church
Synopsis: Sombre service of commemoration and remembrance at the War Memorial led by Canon Caren Topley, followed by refreshments and activities for children, including zip-lining teddies and a treasure hunt, in the churchyard of All Saints Church.
