An afternoon of celebration and rememberance for VJ day on Saturday 16th August. Bring.a picnic and a blanket or folding chairs and enjoy the music of Shrewton silver band and the singer Jason Lee. There will also be a drumhead service to honour those that gave their lives or suffered during the 2nd world war years. Refreshments and a bar are available along with a sports afternoon for the children. This is a free community event supported by the towns RBL, local organisations and the towns council
