Exhibition at Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, looking at local celebrations of VE and VJ day in 1945. Explore the key events and campaigns from the final stages of the war that soldiers of the county, including the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and Oxfordshire Yeomanry, took part in, and the challenges they still faced in the immediate post-war world.

The Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum is an independent museum charity, proceeds from admissions directly support preserving the county’s military heritage, objects and stories.
Open Tuesday – Saturday from 11am – 5pm, and Sundays and Bank Holidays from 2pm – 5pm.
