Knit for Victory

We are a small heritage museum dedicated to working lives of Framework Knitters.

To pay respect to those on the home front who supported to war effort either digging for victory or knitting for the troops, we are organising a ‘Knit for Victory’. We are asking our crafty community to knit or crochet life sized fruit and vegetables to make our own Victory Garden.

This display will be available to all to see from 8th May and beyond.

Staff and Volunteers are contributing, alongside offering a free Knitting Surgery – a drop in session for anyone wanting to learn to knit or crochet or if they are stuck with a pattern. Patterns, yarn and needles will be available. Everyone is welcome.
