Held on the South Coast in the seaside village of Lee on the Solent, Hampshire where we come together for several days of Celebration and Entertainment for the commemoration and remembrance of the 80th Anniversary of VE & VJ Days.
Since starting in 2021 the event is growing and we’re back for our third event where will see an amazing Air Display as well as an array of WWII / Post War Vehicles & Living History, Military Charities, Crafts & Pop-Up Food & Beverage Stalls, Funfair, Music, Song and Dance with an air and static aircraft display on both days of the event.
Living History
The Victory Festival is a festival designed to commemorate British and Commonwealth Military victory from WW2, especially VE and VJ day, but to include all theatres up to modern day.
Along with selected volunteers, they aim to present a tribute to those whom brought about victory in both the European and Pacific Theatres of war for the Allied Forces.
Aircraft
Both in the sky and on the ground there will be various aircraft for you to come and see with a flying display over the old WWII airfield.
The Air Display will be in accord with CAA regulations where we are aiming for 20 aircraft to form the display, which will hopefully have multiple aircraft gracing the sky and for this event there will be the introduction of grandstand seating.
The Parade
Marching Bands, Service Personnel, Veterans, Cadets, Vehicles, Re-enactors, Boats and Aircraft will make up the prestigious military parade taking place in Lee on the Solent on Saturday 20th September, which is free for all to enjoy.
From its assembly in the old Naval base HMS Daedalus, the parade will set out on its 1 mile route out onto Richmond Road, along Montserrat Road, High St. Beach Road and Marine Parade.
