At 10.58am on bank holiday Monday 5th May there is The Last Post followed by a reading of Henry Deeds poem The Naming of Parts followed by the male voice choir Phoenix Knights of Harmony. Finish midday.
Park at Morrisons car park (free for three hours).
The commemoration is outside, gather at The Hillock (by the flag pole).
The local park picnic tables will be set out with Union Jacks for people to bring their own picnics, this is Longsight Park. Longsight Lane car park has it’s nearest postcode as BL2 3JU and is about 300m from commemoration service.
