Special open day of the headstocks military and mining museum and WW2 gallery. Food and drink on sale, 40’s music, re-enactors in dress with artillery and vehicles and equipment.
The headstocks are the tallest in the world and are on the site of the largest army training camp in WW1 which housed 30,000 troops.
