Join us at St Mary’s Church Welshpool for our VE & VJ Day 80 Celebration Service at 10:50am on Sunday 4th May 2025.
Begins with the Parade departing Park Lane at 10:35am, arriving at the church for 10:45am.
Service includes the official unveiling of the Community Poppy waterfalls on the church tower and over the church door – made of up 1000s of poppies knitted by the community and crafted by local nursery and school children.
In the service, we will celebrate and give thanks, commemorate and remember the fallen, and pray for those in our world who are still in need of peace.
Refreshments served in both the church and Welshpool Town Hall after the service.
