A guided walk , starting at the Cross of Sacrifice with the story of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission
CWGC. This will be followed by a short walk to the official war graves plot with the graves of 8 casualties of the Second World War.
This is a War Graves Week event, with thanks to CWGC and Newport City Council.
It is suitable for those with an interest in the conflicts of the twentieth century nationally and globally . The guide will outline the part played by the then Borough of Newport , Monmouthshire and its citizens.
The event is free at 2pm on Sunday 4th May 2025 with booking via Eventbrite or the CWGC website, cwgc.org.uk
Please note that there are restrictions on bringing dogs into the Cemetery , though car parking is free
