The Guards Museum is hosting a VE Day 80 event where visitors can spend ‘A Day in the 1940s’, in the heart of Central London on the site of Wellington Barracks – bridging the gap between the home front and the front lines
Highlights include re-enactors, a live 1940s-style singer, Punch and Judy performances, 1940s games and activity stations, and the chance to handle objects from the museum’s collection
