At Uttoxeter Library from Wednesday 7th May to Saturday 10th May, join free drop-in activities to commemorate the anniversary. Plus, see how our courtyard garden is coming along as our gardeners prepare their VE Day themed display. There will be opportunities to try watercolour painting and other skills to make a ‘Beacons of Peace’ artwork, and also the chance to respond to creative writing prompts on a remembrance theme. Watercolour art activities are aimed at adults and older children – however there will also be tissue paper, cellophane and colouring-in materials available for younger ones. On each of the four days, these activities will available from 10:30am until one hour before closing; we’ll be packing away at 4pm on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at 3pm on the Saturday. We hope to see you there. NB If you plan to paint, please be aware that some fabrics absorb watercolours very easily, so please dress accordingly! (We can’t accept responsibility for any damage to clothing.)
