Free exhibition of original VE Day articles from a collection of old scrap books.
A chance to read articles commemorating the end of the war in Europe. With speeches from HRH King George VI and Winston Churchill to the celebrations of millions across the globe. Stories told and reported by those who were there.
Refreshments will be available.
The event will open with the nationwide flag raising at 9am.
The exhibition will be on display inside the Church Hall from 9am to 4pm. Due to prior bookings we will be moving inside of the Church from 4pm to 9pm.
Wivelsfield Church Bell Ringers will be joining the nationwide chorus from 6:30pm.
Find us in Church Lane, Wivelsfield, just off the B2112 south of Haywards Heath (postcode RH17 7RD). Free car parking will be available, please follow the sign posts.
This exhibition has been created by a local resident who was keen to open her collection of WWII memorabilia for public display.
