Wanstead Theatre’s production of See Rock City – a WW2 Love Story

Wanstead Theatre Co is a professional theatre company based in Wanstead. Our latest play, by the award winning playwright, Arlene Hutton, is a wholesome, funny & poignant drama set in WWII, following newlyweds, Raleigh and May, as the world around them changes. A story of hope in hard times and of two young people and their families learning how to build a future when the future of the world is anything but certain.

Opening on Bank Holiday Monday 5 May, with a special introduction from the Mayor of Redbridge, and running all week, this event offers a window into the lives of ordinary folk in wartime England and is suitable for everyone over the age of 12. The ticket price includes a VE Day party in the interval with food and a glass of fizz and on VE Day itself, on Thu 8 May, there will be a special lunchtime matinee for our older members of our community who prefer not to go out in the evenings.

Our community is at the heart of everything we do. For the community, with the help of the community – bringing the West End to Wanstead.
