We are Wattisfield Village Hall and we are organising a VJ Day celebration 1940s style, we are having vintage tractors, classic cars, an old fashioned fete with fete games, 1840s entertainment, fish and chip van ice cream van, Afternoon tea, tug of war, we are having a flower and produce completion. A cake competition, Craft stalls refreshments and a bar. Everyone is invited. The event is free.
Wattisfield Village hall is a charity set around organising events for the local community, apart from the village hall.there is no other hub apart from the URC church and St Margaret’s Church. We have a bar within the village hall which we open 3 times a week. It is run solely by volunteers. We offer regular events from A monthly farmers market, monthly quiz, monthly bingo to 1980s nights open mic nights and lots lots more. We are a safe space and welcome everyone in to this space. It has gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months. Our VE day celebrations were small but successful and we hope the VJ day one will be bigger and better.
