My Mother found it after he died inside an old wallet. He died in 2010. My Father was born 15.8.1924 in Balcombe, Sussex. He trained to be a Morse code operator on HMS Belfast. I have a wonderful scrapbook of his time serving in the Navy and his time in South Africa.
