Charlie Andrews to Winifred Andrews

My uncle, Charlie Andrews, who was in the 3rd Battalion Royal Marines sent a lot of postcards to his wife Winifred, from places he was stationed in during the war. This postcard was from Velindre in Cardiganshire, Wales where he was stationed between May and August 1942. Doesn’t read as if he enjoyed it particularly!

I found the postcard amongst a number of others from around the world when we cleared out my uncle and aunt’s house after they passed away.
My uncle was very proud of having served in the second world war and would often talk to us about it when we were children.
