We have many letters that George sent our mum Joyce when he was away on the HMS Beverley.
George William Reeves died at the age of 22 (1921 – 1943). He was a Stoker 1st Class and went down with the HMS Beverley.
We do have more letters but the writing is very faint due to age.
We discovered them after our mum sadly passed away. She had stored them at the bottom of a wardrobe but had forgotten that she still had them. She had dementia and was always talking about how she had lost the letters. It was so lovely to find them when we were going through her possessions.
