Friends of Carbrooke Primary School are holding an afternoon tea, street party on the school premises between 3pm and 5pm. The event is free entry with a suggested monetary donation towards the food and drink. There will be music and dancing with good old fashioned games to keep all ages entertained based on the 1940’s era. The event is open to all of the community to come together and celebrate just like they did 80 years ago.
The event is kindly supported by Breckland Council, Inspiring Communities funding and organised by the Friends of Carbrooke School PTA. Its a shared moment in time to celebrate together and put ourselves back in time to the 1940s era, share stories, raise a glass (paper cup) together as a family, built by the community.
Please come along and help us celebrate as a community and commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE DAY, whilst enhancing and educating the young people’s minds with your history and knowledge.
