This letter was among another Uncle’s possessions. It was the final letter sent by Edmund just before he lost his life as an RAF gunner shot down flying over Caen in the period following the D-Day landings. He was aged 19. The letter was sent on Colin, my father’s birthday. A present for him is mentioned in the letter.
