Evacuated children Frank, Joe and Nellie to their mother

I have a number of letters from the children to their parents and some from the people on the homes in Cornwall accommodating the children.

These are from Nellie who was Frank’s oldest sister and Nellie took a level of responsibility for the younger ones.

This letter is from Joe, the youngest boy. This letter shows the excitement a young city boy found in the Cornish environment and developed a liking for Pasty and Cream.

These are from the homeowners who took care of the children. These ladies show great care for the evacuated children despite their own worries and concerns for their families:
