We came across a box filled with letter from uncle Jim to his mum. In it he is glad his brother my dad has started work and that “you say that he hasn’t got his teeth yet”. He also said that he hopes his sister Agnes gets a job. He also asks if she would send him a lock for kit bag.
“Well I will draw to a close and tell all at home I was asking for them and that they are in the best of spirit, not forgetting yourself and hoping to hear from you soon. Write soon, your loving son Jim.”
He was killed in action in the Middle East on the 6th April 1943
