This postcard at first glance does not contain any really exciting information, but a small x on the front opened up for me a major step forward in trying to find out what my dad was involved in during the War.
It was the penultimate piece of the jigsaw that I’ve now been able to unpick the secret world he was never able to discuss, this included his role as a voluntary interceptor. Very strange how one card can solve years of confusion.
The card was only discovered when I was working through my mums papers when she died at the age of 95 just three years ago. The card is hard to read due to the small size of writing and the abbreviation he uses.
