On 8 May, 2025, the Lancing Prep Worthing school community will commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, uniting to honour eight decades of peace since the conclusion of World War II in Europe—a peace secured by the sacrifices of millions. Children and staff will proudly don red, white, and blue attire while enjoying a special lunch and participating in a dedicated assembly. Older pupils will engage in history lessons focused on WW2, deepening their understanding of VE Day’s significance, ensuring that this 80th anniversary will be a memorable and meaningful celebration for the entire school community.
